It was May 31st. The man who called said he was the Grant Country coroner. He said that the person lying in the hospital bed they thought was Laura Van Ryn was really Whitney Cerak. Collen said that was impossible because she was buried. Carly, Whitney's sister and Colleen's other daughter was listening in on the conversation as she had been told to. Carly told her mom to hang up the phone, "HANG UP!" she yelled."This is the worst prank I've heard in my life!" Collen asked to call the coroner back but he told her this is a serious manner. Colleen eventually hung up, but before she did, she got a number to Marion General Hospital. Located in Indiana. Colleen called her husband Newell to let him know what had happened. He couldn't believe it either. Colleen and Carly traveled to Grand Rapids, Michigan.
